I am not a spontaneous person.

Type A is my personality type.  Driven by deadlines, stress junkie, incapable of relaxation, constantly planning and having a goal in mind. 

But today, I dyed my hair.

Baby steps.

I think there is a direct correlation between how much I work and how fat I feel.

The more I work=the more I sit in the office=the more frozen custard I consume=fatty mcfatterson

Thank goodness I am done tomorrow.

Choosing Life

2009 is upon us.

I am falling into the trend of writing out my resolutions.

One (which I already broke, 11 hours in to the new year) will not be mentioned.

I usually do something food related (i.e. no carbs, less Diet Coke, more fruits and veggies etc etc.) but not this year, partly because I love carbs and that was a tough few weeks before I gave into a bread bowl from Panera filled with Broccoli Cheddar goodness. But because there is so much more to life than to be worried about what I am consuming.  Plus Diet Coke and Coffee are detrimental to my survival.

So I just want to leave you with this passage of scripture that I absolutely love.

Deut 30:19-20

Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses.  Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make.  Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!  You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him.  This is the key to your life.  And if you love and obey the Lord, you will love long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

So for this new year, just choose life.
